We're always on the hunt for new, cost-effective ways to store our photos and videos in the cloud, and the latest from the co-founder of Deezer seems like just the ticket -- especially with unlimited storage for $19.99 per month.

The Verge reported Tuesday
that a new media-centric cloud storage service called Stream Nation has launched, the brainchild of Jonathan Benassaya, one of the co-founders of popular European music streaming service Deezer.

Described as "part Photo Stream, part Dropbox," Stream Nation serves up to 10GB of free cloud storage for users, with paid tiers of 500GB for $9.99 per month or a downright drool-worthy unlimited storage tier for $19.99 per month. Coupled with free apps for Mac, Windows and iOS, the service allows users to throw all their photos and videos into the cloud and access them from anywhere.

Yes, that sounds a lot like Dropbox and competing services, but the storage options alone beat the pants off that popular provider, and Stream Nation is built for multimedia, with adaptive streaming and the ability to lend content to friends or save it for offline viewing for up to 24 hours.

There's just one catch to grab that 10GB of free storage: You'll have to jump through a few hoops first, such as installing the desktop and mobile apps, liking Mobile Stream on Facebook, adding on Twitter and sending email invites to friends. The service also includes the option to blast all of your Gmail users at once to get that 10GB, should you be so inclined.

Best of all, Stream Nation isn't one of these annoying new startups keeping the service behind a gated sign-up list -- simply head to the Stream Nation website and sign up to grab your free 2GB (or up to 10GB) of storage, then get uploading.
